This route will take you to the top of Mount Lachens which towers above the rest of Var from an elevation of 1,714 metres.

> DIRECTIONS
From Saint-Raphaël, head towards Fréjus, then Bagnols-en-Forêt on the D4 and continue as far as the village of Saint-Paul-en-Forêt. Turn left onto the D55, then the D53 as far as Brovès. Head towards Seillans, then take the Bargemon road and the Seillans road to find the
village of Bargemon. In the village, take the D25 and climb the Col du Belhomme. Pass through La Bastide to the Col de Clavel and begin your ascent of Mont Lachens.
Mont Lachens, the highest point in the department at 1,715 m.
Turn around and take the D44 towards Castellane. Turn right, then take the Chemin de la Pinède as far as Villaute. Once in the town, follow the Route Napoléon, which becomes the Route de Grasse as far as the Col de Val Ferrière. Of the two paths available, take the one on the right, the Mons road and then the Castellane road as far as the village of Mons. From there, follow the signs for Tourrettes and then Saint Paul-en-Forêt. Take the same route back to Fréjus and turn left at the roundabout on rue des Combattants en Afrique du Nord to get back to the starting point.
