The heart of town :
town center, old town and old harbour

First, you should explore the narrow, shady alleys of the old town, or village district, which in days gone by was the peasants quarter. Every day there is a typical Provenale flower and vegetable market. Visit San Raféu church (also called the Templiers or Saint Pierre church). Dating from the 12th century and modernized in the 18th, the presbytery houses an archaeological museum. Then, at the top of the watchtower (13th century) enjoy the superb panoramic view of the bay.

The “Quartier de la Marine”, originally a fishermens haven, became a renowned seaside resort in the 19th century when the casino and many sumptuous villas were built. These days, its the town centre which is the hub of activity and in whose many shops all the major brands and labels can be found.
